Captain Mario Williams was born and raised in the Barbados fishing village of College Savannah and has been catching fish his entire life. His charter company, Eclipse Fishing Charters, is an excellent operation that provides not only a chance to catch big game in this island paradise…but also to spend the day with Captain Mario and his endless energy and great vibes.
Barbados is surrounded by deep water and rich topography that allows for short rides and great fishing for pelagic species. Billfish species include white marlin, blue marlin and sailfish, and while they can be found on any given day, the best season tends to be January – April. Barbados is also an excellent destination for wahoo, and mahi are a common catch throughout the year.
Eclipse is a 35’ Betram Sport Fisherman that is fully equipped for not only serious big game fishing, but also those who prefer a more relaxing day like mixing in snorkeling and sightseeing.
The Eclipse crew’s expertise is evidenced by their outstanding record in fishing tournaments, including 1st place in the 2023 Worrell Memorial Wahoo Shootout, 1st place in the Spice Island Billfish Tournament, and many other top 3 finishes.
