The southern tip of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula is known as “Land’s End”, where the city of Cabo San Lucas meets the Pacific Ocean amidst a stunning desert landscape. This is where Lands End Charters gets its name, and over many years of service this family-run charter company has established itself as one of the
area’s best.

Lands End has a large fleet more than 20 boats ranging from economical pangas to luxury yachts. This is a very professional operation with a staff who will greet you at the marina and get you set up for a day customized for your group. The English-speaking captains are mostly Cabo natives and have extensive local knowledge, and the boats are well maintained and stocked with high quality equipment.

Cabo has a well-deserved reputation for great fishing and there are a wide variety of options to choose from. The water gets deep really quickly here and the nutrient rich waters, where the Pacific meets the Sea of Cortez, are full of life. The striped marlin is probably the go-to offshore fish in Cabo, and the Lands End crew catches them every month of the year, with the winter and spring months being the peak. Blue and black marlin are best in the second half of the year with a peak in October, when some of the biggest tournaments are held. Of course, mahi are almost always around, as are yellowfin tuna. The big “cow” tuna over 200lbs are most commonly caught in the fall months from Sept – Dec.

Cabo is also great for inshore fishing, with roosterfish being the headliner and jacks, snapper, grouper and sierra mackerel also commonly targeted. Cabo is of course a great destination for more than just fishing, and we’ve found some great restaurants near the marina that will cook your catch in gourmet fashion.
When you plan your next trip to Cabo, you can rest assured that your fishing needs will be well taken care of by our friends at Lands End Charters!
