Grenada, located in the south Caribbean at the bottom tip of the Windward Island chain, has excellent fishing just offshore. The deep water is so close to shore that Captain Gary averages less than 20 minutes of running before reaching the fishing grounds. True Blue specializes in blue marlin fishing, and he usually trolls circle hook rigged ballyhoo and artificial lures, with 5 lines and dredge teasers.

The yellowfin tuna fishing can also be excellent. The tuna are big – averaging over 100 lbs with a boat record of 220lbs. They also target wahoo, trolling wire rigged ballyhoo and deep running artificials around reef drop offs that often go from 80’ to 800’ deep. Depending on the time of year, True Blue also regularly catches sailfish, white marlin, and dorado.

Captain Gary’s boat is Yes Aye, a 31’ Innovator. He has been chartering trips since 1998 and has had much success in area tournaments, including a first place win in the Spice Islands Billfish Tournament.
