A day of spearfishing Down Under almost turned really, really badly.

What two buddies with a boat and spearfishing gear wouldn’t love to be out hunting for off the coast of Western Australia?  Nathan and Dave are no different.  Armed only with two spear guns and a small knife, off they went.  Oh, and lucky for us, Nathan decided to don a camera to record their catch and day of fun.  Now we can view their unexpected encounter, too.

It starts out simply enough.  The two friends anchor the boat and jump in, off to conquer a few fish for dinner.  Swimming beneath the waves, they head off and enjoy the hunt.  All was seemingly good as they ventured far, but not too far, from their boat. Little did they know what was coming next, though.

Before the guys know it, they are sharing their space with a much better swimmer with much bigger teeth.  A great white shark. And he doesn’t seem to be interested in going away.  In fact, he starts circling.  And circling.  And circling.
