Captain Brian Boe originally came to Bonaire on vacation. But on that transformative trip he fell in love with the island, and the already experienced charter captain made the decision to move to Bonaire and establish Flying Fish Charters.

Much like his view of Bonaire, Brian’s goal for his operation is perfection – including tackle, cleanliness, maintenance, and especially customer service. This philosophy pays off every day, as his customers experience the fine fishing that can be found in this tropical paradise with the top boat and crew in the area.

Due to the steep underwater topography of Bonaire, you can reach 1000’ of water less than one mile from shore, and this is where Flying Fish usually begins the troll in pursuit of the most common species caught offshore – blue marlin, white marlin, yellowfin tuna and wahoo. All trips are customized for the customer, and bottom fishing is an excellent option as well with tasty catches including silk snapper, blackfin snapper, tilefish, and almaco jacks.

If you’re up for the ultimate challenge – or you just want to spend the daytime hours on the beach with a cold Dutch-style beer – Captain Boe offers night fishing which generally targets swordfish.

The Flying Fish is a 42’ Bertram convertible sportfisher that not surprisingly is well outfitted and in tip-top shape.  Without question, if you’re anywhere near Bonaire (lucky you) a day or two with Captain Boe on The Flying Fish should be on your agenda!
