Shearwater Charters is a true family business in the heart of the Gulf Coast. The Biloxi-based charter is helmed by Captain Brandon Morano, who says his philosophy is “It’s not work if you love what you do.” His love for fishing shows each day on the water, especially since he is backed by his wife Jennifer (the daughter of a Hall of Fame charter captain) and his deckhand, son Brandon Jr.
His boat, the Shearwater, is a 37 custom built sport fishermen, with plenty of room for six anglers. In addition to being a top-notch fishing machine, it has all the comforts of home with two sets of bunks, a salon, and restroom.
The Biloxi area is best known for inshore and nearshore fishing, where Capt. Morano targets speckled trout, tarpon, mangrove snapper, king mackerel, redfish, and other species. In the summer, he often heads offshore for the tasty red snapper as well as cobia and sharks.
As you would expect, the Shearwater team delivers true southern hospitality that is warm and family friendly. However – the fishing is good enough to satisfy even the most serious fisherman!
