Watch this guy go sea bed hunting on only one breath of air.

Somewhere in the Philippines, a local fisherman named Solbin (sp?) gives us an incredible freediving demonstration– he calmly descends to the seabed at 60’ and walks around a coral reef for 2 ½ minutes on a single breath of air. No fins, no scuba mask – just bare feet and basic swim goggles.

We have to admit we were hoping he’d encounter a big grouper, but in the end his efforts are rewarded when he spears a little reef fish – anyone have a fish ID on that one?

We need to invite Solbin to Texas or Louisiana…he would have a field day on red snapper off of the shallow-water oil rigs!
