Back in 2011, our founder Austin was working from home (before it was trendy) and living in t-shirts. One day he realized something—his favorite tees were always the unique ones collected during fishing adventures to places like Cape Cod and Cabo. The problem? The only way to get more shirts like that was booking more fishing trips, and time and money were in short supply.
That's when Red Tuna was born. Austin and his friend Paul launched it as a side hustle with a simple mission: bring customers distinctive fishing shirts that represent the world's finest charter companies and fishing lodges. What started as a passion project quickly found an audience, and today we serve thousands of fishermen across the USA.
While we've grown and expanded our offerings over the years, our approach remains unchanged. Each month, we feature one carefully selected shirt that tells a story. Every design is printed right here in the USA using premium materials—and we think they’re a great alternative to those “big name” shirts found in the sporting goods stores that all look the same and are printed in Asia.
